Mayor of Darbhanga, Bihar, Anjum Ara has apologized for her Holi statement. She said that she regrets her statement that ‘playing Holi should be stopped for a while for Friday Namaaz’.

She said that all kinds of people are coming to me since morning. Someone is calling me Bangladeshi and someone is calling me a traitor by coming to my house.

Anjum Ara further said that I want to tell the brothers of the media that you should start an investigation about me. If any evidence is found, strict action should be taken. My only intention was that the festival should be celebrated peacefully in Darbhanga. I said this in this context, if anyone’s faith has been hurt, then I regret it. I cannot stop the thinking of BJP or any other party.

Mayor Anjum Ara of Darbhanga, Bihar has said that Friday prayers will not be stopped during Ramadan and neither the time will be changed. Hindus should change the time of playing Holi. Holi should be stopped for 2 hours. Talking to the media, the Darbhanga mayor has said that the time of Friday prayers will not be changed under any circumstances, in such a situation the time of Holi should be changed. Take a break of 2 hours.
