A newly married couple from Farrukhabad committed suicide in Mahindra Enclave of Kavinagar police station area of ​​Ghaziabad. On Tuesday, the bodies of both were found hanging. According to the police, the husband and wife who committed suicide were cousins, who had eloped from home and had a court marriage in Ghaziabad on February 17.

The girl’s family was not happy with this marriage. A two-page suicide note has been found from the spot, in which both have said that their lives were in danger from the girl’s family.

Piyush Singh and Nisha, originally residents of Allahpur village of Kaimganj police station, Farrukhabad district, were living on rent in Sohanveer Singh’s house in F-block of Mahindra Enclave. Piyush was earning his livelihood by working as a labourer. Both committed suicide by hanging themselves in the room. On Tuesday afternoon, the police reached the spot after receiving information from the landlord and after investigation, brought down the bodies and informed the family members about the incident.

ACP Kavinagar Swatantra Kumar Singh has suspected that the newly married couple hanged themselves late on Monday night. When the door of the room did not open till Tuesday afternoon, the neighbouring tenants peeped through the window and found the bodies of both hanging on the noose. The ACP said that Piyush Singh and Nisha were cousins. Both had gone missing from home on February 16.

The suicide note found at the spot revealed that Piyush and Nisha had married on February 17 in Ghaziabad court. Nisha’s family was not happy with this marriage. They were threatening to kill her and Piyush’s family. It is suspected that both committed suicide due to public shame and pressure from Nisha’s family. The family members of both will be questioned when they arrive.

Family members were trying to bring them back home: The family members were trying to bring back the cousin brother and sister who had suddenly disappeared from home, but both of them had also changed their location. The family members had also gone to Ghaziabad five days ago to find them. Before the family could understand anything, the news of their death came.

‘They used to threaten to kill and send to jail’

In the suicide note, Piyush wrote that he had married Nisha in court of his own free will. Nisha’s family members did not approve of this. They used to threaten him and his family every day that they have three sons. One son will kill both and go to jail, even then two sons will be left. Nisha’s family members also tried to find her. One day, SI Tejveer Singh of Kavinagar police station called on her new number, then he explained to me. Later, after listening to her statement, they let her go.

I could not live together, but I can die together…

In the suicide note, Nisha wrote that she is responsible for her own death. There is no pressure from her partner in this decision. I could not live with my partner, but I can die with him. Both of us requested the administration that after our death, our cremation should be done together. Nisha wrote that she has brought only two pairs of anklets from her home. If someone accuses her of bringing some other stuff, then it is completely false. If her family, relatives, sister, mother-father feel bad with this decision, then forgive me considering that this is my life.
