PM Modi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Mauritius visit, gifts Mahakumbh water to the country’s President, Banarasi to his wife

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his visit to Mauritius. On Tuesday, he met the country’s President Dharam Gokul and his wife. He also gifted Mahakumbh water in brass and copper vessels. He also gifted Bihar’s makhna. Modi also gifted Dharam Gokul’s wife a Banarasi saree. The gift also reflects Gujarati tradition.

The Prime Minister arrived in Mauritius on Tuesday morning on a two-day visit. Before meeting the country’s President, he also met Mauritian Prime Minister Navinchandra Ramgoolam. He joined the tree plantation program at the Sir Sibsagar Ramgoolam Botanical Garden.

Earlier in the day, the Prime Minister paid floral tributes at the tomb of Sir Sibsagar Ramgoolam, the founder of Mauritius. At the same time, he also paid floral tributes at the tomb of the country’s former President and Prime Minister Aniruddha Jagannath. Narendra Modi has already made a bunch of posts on his X handle about his visit to Mauritius. In one post, he writes, ‘It feels great to visit the Sir Sibsagar Ramgoolam Botanical Garden with Prime Minister Navinchandra Ramgoolam. It has a vibrant collection of biodiversity. This botanical garden is extraordinary.’
