ED Takes Major Action in NRHM Scam

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has taken significant action in connection with the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) scam in Uttar Pradesh. The ED has attached movable and immovable assets worth ₹89.84 lakh in relation to the case. The investigation by the ED, which focuses on money laundering, revealed that several individuals illegally accumulated funds and used them to purchase assets.
The ED believes that large-scale corruption took place under the NRHM between 2005 and 2011. The investigation into this massive financial fraud continues, with authorities working to uncover the full extent of the misappropriation of funds meant for rural health initiatives. The action taken by the ED is a significant step in addressing the misuse of public money in the NRHM.
