BJP Delegation Meets ECI Over Fake Voters in West Bengal

A BJP delegation, led by West Bengal BJP President and Union Minister Sukanta Majumdar, reached the Election Commission of India (ECI) headquarters in Delhi on Tuesday afternoon. The delegation, which included MPs Jyotirmoy Singh Mahato, Khagen Murmu, and Rajya Sabha MP Shamik Bhattacharya, raised concerns over 17.5 lakh fake voters and “Bangladeshi voters” allegedly present in the state’s electoral rolls.
The BJP has demanded the removal of these names to ensure free and fair elections. The meeting underscores the party’s efforts to address electoral malpractices ahead of upcoming polls. The ECI’s response to these allegations will be crucial in maintaining the integrity of the electoral process in West Bengal, a state known for its politically charged environment.
