`Now you can withdraw PF money through GPay, Phone Pe’ – Good news, people!

The Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) is set to introduce a new facility for users to withdraw their money through UPI.
This will allow employees to access their Provident Fund (PF) directly through UPI apps like ZPay and PhonePe.
Currently, it takes at least 10 days to a few weeks for EPFO beneficiaries to withdraw their Provident Fund. For this, the UMANG app or the website www.epfindia.gov.in is used. This takes 10 days to a few weeks, making it difficult for beneficiaries to access their Provident Fund in case of emergencies. To address this, a facility of receiving money quickly through UPI is being introduced.
To withdraw provident fund through UPI, EPFO users have been told to use the ‘EPFO Withdrawal’ feature on their apps like GPay and PhonePe. EPFO has also included a new facility for users to enter their UAN number, verify their KYC details and withdraw their provident fund. If your request is approved as per EPFO rules, the provident fund will be credited to your UPI-linked bank account immediately.
Through this initiative, this facility will be introduced to enable over 7 crore EPFO users to access their provident fund easily and quickly. It is reported that this new facility may be implemented in May or June this year.
