₹93 Lakh Scam Uncovered! Eco Park Police Arrest Pawan Ruia in Massive App Fraud

In a major breakthrough against cybercrime, the Eco Park Police Station has arrested an individual named Pawan Ruia for allegedly defrauding a citizen of a staggering ₹93 lakhs. The victim, identified as Swapan, fell prey to a sophisticated mobile application scam that promised astronomical returns on small investments, only to lose his life’s savings in a matter of days.

According to the police complaint, Swapan was coerced into installing a specific mobile app by the accused. He was given false assurances that depositing money through the platform would yield massive profits. Lured by the prospect of easy money, Swapan transferred funds in multiple installments, totaling ₹93 lakhs. It was only when he attempted to withdraw his supposed “earnings” and found himself blocked that the gravity of the situation hit him.

Acting swiftly on the formal complaint, the Eco Park police initiated a digital investigation. By tracing the bank account details and the transaction flow, investigators pinpointed the location and identity of Pawan Ruia. Following a targeted raid, Ruia was taken into custody. Preliminary interrogation suggests that this might be part of a larger syndicate operating across the state. The police have seized several documents and electronic devices for further forensic analysis to determine the full scale of the operation and recover the defrauded amount.
